Returning to Duke is not on Dawkins Radar Right Now

Former Duke Star and longtime assistant Johnny Dawkins now the head coach at Stanford, joined The Insiders on Tuesday and talked about the pride he still has for the Duke Basketball program. He referred to it as family and says he even sends text messages to some of the players from time to time.
When asked whether or not he has thought about the opportunity someday to return to Duke, Dawkins said he only has thought about being successful at Stanford. The biggest adjust for the team so far has been getting used to the new style of play, which is just like Duke’s. As for the Blue Devils struggles of late, Dawkins says he believes in the players in the program and says they just need to gain experience.
