NCSU getting athletic funds from fees, not tuition

N.C. State didn't raise tuition - as WRAL reported Wednesday - for some improvements to athletic facilities but is raising student athletic fees.
Athletics director Lee Fowler spoke to the Greater Raleigh Sports Club on Wednesday, and WRAL's story that evening referred to tuition being raised for building projects.
Actually, the student athletic fees are being raised for the facilities. The $30 increase per student will help fund $12 million in improvements to Wolfpack facilities.
