Welcome to Atlanta

Practice is already underway at the Georgia Dome, with Virginia Tech on the floor and Miami ready to go next. Don't expect to see the Blue Devils or Tar Heels today as they are staying in the friendly confines of North Carolina, which is not a problem, the teams don't play until Friday. Today is a great day for access to the players and coaches and get their feel for the tournament, reflections on the season and a chance to see who is ready to play.
While most teams use their hour on the floor to get adjusted to playing in such a cavernous site like here, Virginia Tech has used their time to practice, and last year it almost paid off with an upset of the top seeded Heels. Other teams are just relaxed during their time on the floor like Miami not wanting to push too hard with a chance of playing four times in four days.
While Carolina should win this tournament there is no guarantee, and it is as wide open as any tournament has been. There is no advantage to any of the teams playing here in Atlanta which makes this a five team scramble to cut down the nets.
The media really gets the most out of this day anyways, so off to practice my interviewing skills for the four days ahead..

Also wasting my time, so feel free to point out where I am wrong, but where does this..."While Carolina should win this tournament there is no guarantee, and it is as wide open as any tournament has been. I fail to see how this anoints the Tar Heels as the champs, I think it says it is a wide open tourney, but to quote Dennis Miller, that's just my opinion, I may be wrong...
Thanks again for reading and taking the time to write.

I just try to be fair. If there is one team that can do some damage it is FSU.Still no word on Lawson's status for Friday. If we hear anything it probably won't be until tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone for listening and reading...

Classic whining about UNC having the easiest schedule in the conference coming from a dook fan. Yeah I'm sure Roy planned it all out that way. Kinda like coach Krybaby scheduling all non-conference matchups at the "neutral" homecourt #2 for dook fans - Dook Square Garden.I suppose the team that won the conference isn't favored to win the ACC tourney unless its dook of course.
