Don't leave him alone beyond the three point line, but Maryland did not heed the advice and boom goes the dynamite and Dukes biggest lead of the game. The Blue Devils have built this lead without Kyle Singler scoring a single point, he still has 12. But Scheyer has poured in 11 in twelve and a half minutes.

5:37pm Duke 44 MD 41 10:16 to go...
Again when it looks like Duke is going to pull away Greivis Vasquez has the answer. Duke pulled out a 44-37 but Vasquez and Dave Neal answer for Maryland. The Terrapins aren't going away.
5:32pm Duke 42 MD 37 11:42 to go in the game
Duke has been in control of the game, yet it seems at anytime the bottom can fall out. When Maryland gets close the Devils have and answer to keep it a 3 point game for the last 3 minutes. Jon Scheyer has picked up the pace he has 12 in the game, still wondering where is the impact play of Gerald Henderson who is 2-12 with 4 points.

That equals the amount that he played against UNC and Boston College combined. Duke needs another scorer to compliment Kyle Singler who has now played all 60 minutes that Duke has been on the floor.
5:00pm At the half Duke 32 Maryland 30
While it has been the Kyle Singler and Greivis Vasquez show, the defenses of both teams deserve some credit the defenses Duke has forced 9 turnovers while the Terps have limited Duke to 32% shooting. Looks like we are in for another close finish.

Eric Hayes does get all three. Greg Paulus pats the refs on the behind...not a technical though.
4:49pm Duke 24 MD 23 3:37 left in first half
Singler drains a three to give him twelve for the half and Duke the lead. This game has a tough pace, when it seems things get picked up, Maryloand drags it back down, if it is Gary Williams strategy it is working perfect.
4:45pm Kyle Singler 9 Greivis Vasquez 9 but MD 23 Duke 21 with 4:17 left
These two are putting on a show shooting the basketball. One hopes their teammates do the same.

3:56pm warm-ups Duke 0 Maryland 0
Duke and Maryland met three times earlier this decade int he Semi's or Finals of the ACC tournament and at one point had more impact on the NCAA scene than UNC/Duke. Today feels like old times as the Devils and Terps hook up again for a chance to advance to the ACC Championship game. Duke hammered Maryland at Cameron 85 to 44 and won 78-67 in College Park in the return bout. We have already seen how hard it is to beat a team three times with Clemson being up ended by Georgia Tech. This game comes down to Duke shooting over the Maryland zone, if the Devils are hot from outside Maryland will be in trouble, but the Terps have some answers. Greivis Vasquez has been dominant in the tourney so far, and Gary Williams team has played physical defense and have held NC State and Wake Forest under 70 points in two games. Winner gets the Noles in the title game. We're less than ten minutes away.
