Looks like UNC point Guard Ty Lawson’s toe is worse than first thought - so much so he had this revelation to our reporter Dave Shore from 99.9 FM the Fan ESPN Radio.

Lawson told Shore that he could not have played Saturday or Sunday even if it was the NCAA Tournament. Lawson went on to say he is not going to get out of bed unless he has to but will be ready for Thursday or Friday, when NCAA play begins.

Even with 73-70 loss to Florida State, the Tar Heels have more than likely wrapped up the number one overall seed in the NCAA tournament.

Had Green played just a little yesterday, UNC may have been playing today. lawson is the glue for this team as we all know. If he gets to be about 90% in the first game, they should be OK.

the fact is that the toe will not be 100% for the rest of the season and I don't see carolina winning it all without him.
