During his weekly visit with The Insiders on 99.9 FM The Fan, ESPN college basketball analyst (and former UNC guard) Hubert Davis admitted he was wrong about Duke.
“I didn’t think it would work with Elliot Williams in the lineup and Jon Scheyer at point guard,” said Davis. The sharp-shooter who once wore the light blue, now thinks the guys in dark blue are a team that could make a Final Four run.
Davis also said the difference between being a one or two seed is overrated because once you get in the second round you are facing good teams that can beat you, regardless of your seeding.
For the record - Hubert Davis took North Carolina, Memphis, Villanova, and Louisville to advance to Detroit.
What about #1 seed Pittsburgh in the East Region? Davis just does not see DeJuan Blair staying out of foul trouble for them to make a long run.
