Lawson's home remedy

Never has a toe received so much attention. But this is March when any disruption to a player or a team becomes news.
When we broke the story about Ty Lawson injuring his toe the Friday before the Duke game, many wondered if it was a cruel joke. Nope...it sure wasn't.
Two days after the injury, Lawson played in the regular season finale and he limped into the post game press conference claiming his right, big toe was killing him.
He needed some kind of relief and Lawson was willing to listen to any advice.
That's when his father chimed in with some "help". I'll let Lawson tell the story.
"My Dad, he was like put it in hot water and Epsom salt, " Lawson explained after the Tar Heels' win over LSU. "It's an old remedy and he's old school, so I was like, alright I'll try it."
Epsom salt plus hot water equaled a more swollen toe for Ty the day after "treatment."
"The next day (my toe) was real big so I told the doctors (at UNC) and they just looked at me like I was crazy," Lawson laughed.
He appreciated Dad's medical advice but Ty says he won't be soaking his toe in hot, Epsom salted water again.
Just rub a little tobacco juice on it...that'll cure it.
