Area teams' recruits pair up on NC Pro Am rosters

Durham, N.C. — Duke recruits Amile Jefferson and Rasheed Sulaimon will pair up as teammates on one of eight teams in the NC Pro Am this summer while NC State recruits Tyler Lewis, TJ Warren and Rodney Purvis will join together on another.

Rosters for the eight teams were released and posted on the NC Pro Am website Tuesday along with the schedule for a trio of games on Thursday

Mason Plumlee will represent a third Blue Devil on DreamWorks with Jefferson and Sulaimon, suiting up with Justin Watts, David Noel and James McAdoo of UNC, a trio of players from UNCG, Sean May and Marvin Williams.

Purvis, Warren and Lewis will also have an opportunity to play with NC State junior Ralston Turner and former Wolfpack players Patrick Johnson and Julius Hodge.

NC State’s CJ Leslie joins a roster full of variety that also includes UNC’s JP Tokoto and Reggie Bullock and Duke’s Quinn Cook and Marshall Plumlee.

UNC’s PJ Hairston and Leslie McDonald will run together on a team that features Rasheed Wallace, Andre Dawkins and Miles Plumlee.

Other notable players rostered and returning to the Triangle according to the website include Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Nolan Smith, Raymond Felton, Antwan Jamison and Danny Green

The first games start at 6 p.m. Thursday at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
