Steve Logan joining 99.9 The Fan, 620 The Buzz

Posted August 28, 2012

Jason Jennings: Steve Logan Begins Work at BC

Former East Carolina University head football coach, and longtime college and NFL assistant coach, Steve Logan, is joining the lineup on WCMC 99.9 FM The Fan, WDNC 620 AM The Buzz and WCMC-HD2 The Buzz.

Logan will join 99.9 The Fan’s Adam Gold and Joe Ovies on their top-rated local sports show each Friday afternoon from 4 to 5 p.m. to preview the upcoming weekend in professional and college football.

Each Saturday, during the football season, Logan will also host “Game Day Live,” a two-hour college football preview program airing 10 a.m to noon.

Logan will appear on “The World’s Strongest Morning Show” on 620 The Buzz with Mark Thomas and Mike Maniscalco Monday mornings from 7 to 8 a.m. (due to the Labor Day holiday, his first appearance will be Tuesday, Sept. 4). Logan will recap the week in professional and college football and preview the Monday night game.

Capitol Broadcasting Co. sports radio program director and operations manager, Jason Dixon, said, “Coach Logan has the rare ability to take his vast knowledge of the game of football and present it in an entertaining and informative way. He will be a great addition to our lineup.”

Fans are encouraged to send questions to Logan throughout the week on Twitter using hashtag #LoganZone.

Logan served as the running backs coach for The Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009-11. He was offensive coordinator at Boston College from 2007-09. He served as the head coach at East Carolina from 1992-2002 where he became the school’s all-time winningest head coach. Logan has recently been named as part of the class of 2012 ECU Athletics Hall of Fame.

Glad to hear that Logan is returning to The Fan and The Buzz. I remember listening to his radio show that used to be on Mondays on 850 The Buzz. Logan has a ton of knowledge and is very entertaining.

Hopefully this will improve the anti-UNC, obsessed with UNC rant we hear everyday.

Good Move....now if all the other 'analysts' will just let him talk...Steve has an awful lot to offer the sports radio listening public....and is usually right on target with his comments.

Good to have him on board. Is he living the area now?

Good move. More insightful and best commentator BY FAR on those stations. Maybe now Mark Thomas can move on to a new career?
