Raleigh, N.C. — North Carolina State University head football coach Dave Doeren added depth to his ability to recruit in-state prospects Tuesday with the hiring of Henry Trevathan as director of high school relations. Trevathan has a long history of head coaching postings within the high school ranks, including six years at Raleigh's Broughton High School and, most recently, two years as head coach at Southern Alamance High School.
Trevathan started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at State after his 1979 graduation from East Carolina University. He has experience at the college level on the staffs at Lenoir-Rhyne and Elon universities.
Trevathan continues a legacy with the Wolfpack. His father, Henry Trevathan Sr., is a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and served as an assistant coach at State from 1986-93.
