Friday's wet and windy weather prompted Triangle area universities to postpone afternoon home baseball games.
Duke, UNC and NC State are hosts this weekend to ACC teams for the conference season openers.
Duke was set to host the University of Virginia at 6 p.m. That game will now be played as part of a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. The Blue Devils and Cavs finish a three-game series Sunday, also at 1 p.m.
In Chapel Hill, the Tar Heels made a similar move. Game 1 of a three-game tilt with Pittsburgh will begin Saturday at noon, followed about an hour late by a second day. The third game of that series will be played as scheduled Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Wolfpack have Notre Dame in town for a three-game series, the first in the ACC for the Irish. Games were scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Instead, the teams will play a doubleheader starting Saturday at 2 p.m. Sunday's game time, originally 1 p.m., was pushed back to 2 p.m. as well.
Campbell also postponed their scheduled home game against William and Mary Friday. The Camels and Tribe will play a doubleheader in Buies Creek Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
