Duke's Tatum named ACC Freshman of the Week

Durham, N.C. — Duke forward Jayson Tatum was named ACC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Tatum averaged 14.0 points, 3.5 assists and team highs of 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks on the week as Duke ran its winning streak to five games with home wins over No. 8 North Carolina and Clemson.
Tatum scored all 19 of his points in the second half against UNC and hauled in a team-high nine rebounds. He also set a career high with five assists.
With averages of 15.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the season, Tatum ranks second among ACC freshmen in both categories.
Notre Dame junior Bonzie Colson was named the conference Player of the Week after a 27-point, 16-rebound, 5-block game against Wake Forest.
