Gotta like the way these guys have built upon their dismantling of dook in the NCAA tourney last season...

Lehigh opened the game on a 13-0 run and held off Saint Francis the rest of the way as the Mountain Hawks won their seventh straight game on Saturday, 83-67. With the win, Lehigh is off to its best start after 10 games (8-2) since 1938-39. Senior C.J. McCollum led the way with 29 points, falling just one shy of his fourth 30-point game of the season.

Senior men's basketball standout C.J. McCollum is known most for his 30-point performance in Lehigh's historic NCAA Tournament win over Duke last March. But what people don't see is McCollum's performance off the court - in the classroom, as a leader and in the community - which truly makes him who he is.http://www.lehighsports.com/sports/mbball/cj_mccollum_a_star_on_and_off_the_court.aspx

The 2012-13 season is Dr. Brett Reed's sixth as the Murray H. Goodman '48 Head Men's Basketball Coach at Lehigh. In five years on the sideline, Dr. Brett Reed has by far the most victories by a Lehigh head coach in his first five seasons and has won 75 percent of his games at Stabler Arena, which is second on the Lehigh leaderboard. His 60.0 career Division I winning percentage is tops among active Patriot League coaches. Last season, Reed led the Mountain Hawks to a school-record 27 wins, the program's third Patriot League Championship and second in the last three seasons.

Bryant University does what dook could not...

Bryant jumped out to an early lead and Lehigh couldn't recover as the Mountain Hawks dropped a heartbreaking 80-79 final on Saturday evening in Stabler Arena. The Bulldogs scored the go-ahead basket with 1.3 seconds remaining to snap the Mountain Hawks' eight-game winning streak and win themselves for the seventh time in their last nine contests. Senior C.J. McCollum returned from injury to score 34 points on 9-of-18 shooting and 6-of-10 from three-point range.
