I was just thinking, it's gotta be brutal for Unc fans to have K (30+ yr career) have a winning record vs Unc. A small private/ Ivy League level academic school can compete (and dominate college bb) vs a giant state school that has loose academics (bogus AA study programs that keep athletes eligible). It cracks me up. I actually start to understand the hatred and obsession.

  • canz Jul 19, 2013

^Again, K has a winning record vs Unc. Are you a Dean fan or a Unc fan. I noticed you posted at 1230 in the morning. Probably pantless. Duke/K are in your head. All day. Every day. The ultimate compliment.

Maybe even more, because he wouldn't have suffered all the humiliating curbstompings and groundpoundings to Dean like he did.

Anything Duke or K does gets views. Your 24/7 presence on Duke's board tells everyone all they need to know about your obsession. Like K says, people dont hate losers. K/Duke is in your head, all day, everyday. Maybe Dean can come back and try for more Nattys and catch K. Imagine what K could have done with bogus acad programs to recruit clowns like McCants, Wallace, Nguye? etc. K would have 12 titles if he coached at Unc

^You cant be this naive. K walked into a weak progam. Built it, just like the penguin built Unc in the early years. When K got it rolling, they were even, with K having an edge in the latter years. How many titles does Dean have. Nattys are the goal right? How many does K have? Wow and ouch. Btw, K has a winning record vs Unc.

  • flagshipu Jul 18, 2013
    Sports Legend

Yet he curbstomped and groundpounded Kiwi 24 times out of 38 tries.

Wow. Yes. 24 times. Any other coach beatdown Kiwi that much? None I can think of.

    Wow,'and....

    Ouch.

  • canz Jul 18, 2013

^Yeah, we dont count games played on dirt courts with all s. Dean Smith, your hero, has half the Nattys that K has. You must bow to K. K has 4 Nattys and Huck & Dean have 4. You are frustrated and obsessed with a tiny private school that doesnt have bogus academic programs to keep players eligilble. Duke is in your head. Like K says, people dont hate losers. Good luck this upcoming season, maybe 2014 can be better than 2013, since you lost to Duke in football and got swept in bb. Duke is in your head. Deal with it. That tiny private, Ivy-league level school is in your head. 24/7.

    LOL!

I wonder if dook might have gone all the way the year that unheard of, nobody team curbstomped them out of round one of the 2012 Big Dance? Just think...they were *that close* (hold forefinger and thumb one-quarter inch apart in front of your nose) to tying The Flagship in NCAA championships (and that's only if you don't count the Helmsie we won in 1924. We do. hee hee. hee.)

What do you want Hokie 94? Change the forum to please you? Create threads so you can make a statement? 4 months out from tip-off and you want the Duke faithful to scream NT. Ain't going to happen, even though we know there is a very good chance we will win one, both this year and next. How about you putting up relevent threads about what you think is important? Snapping at us is demeaning. My son graduated from UNC several years ago, I taught at Duke for 25 years, and heaven knows, I can't for the life of me understand why anyone could demand others to offer up excitement they can't offer up on their own.

  • VT1994Hokie Jul 16, 2013

My team is Virginia Tech. My son is a graduate of UNC. I only posted as the truth about Duke. To keep reading about the former players at Duke is way old. Heck. I have written more positives about Coach K than some of the so-called fans on here.

  • canz Jul 16, 2013

Anything Duke will get views. Duke is global. K could yell at someone that cuts him off in traffic and it'll get 1000x posts. Your constant presence on a Duke board shows your obsession. Good luck this upcoming year. Maybe Unc's new coach can finally beat Duke and maybe Unc can avoid being swept again in basketball

  • VT1994Hokie Jul 16, 2013

When I look at the Duke Forum, I see that over half are about former players. An update about Duke players at best. Nothing about how Duke may will another National Championship. Most get tired of seeing these updates about players.
