RE: Nolan Smith Update
Again, you insinuated that Raymond intentionally threw Nate under the bus (to get him fired) when he underperformed his contract.
Yes, that's typically what a mutiny refers to.
My contention is that Raymond may not have performed well and/or did not like the way he was being used (starting, not starting, minutes, etc.)...but the Nate's firing was influenced by much bigger factors.Of course there are other factors. Obviously management took into account that Portland's poor performance wasn't just bad coaching. They don't sign free-agent point guards expecting them to shoot 40% and 30% from 3 point land. That's why Felton was on the trading block before the deadline but they were stuck with him because no one in the league wanted him either.

Selective cut-and-paste.
Selective deflection.
The Blazers were aware of Raymond's career shooting percentages...and current season figures are not significantly off from those (LOL...and better than Roy's last season). As a matter of fact, Raymond's last 9 games have produced numbers exceeding his career figures.
Regardless, the trade did not work out for either and larger factors influenced management to fire Nate.
If Raymond were as bad on and off the court as the picture you paint, then Nolan would have logged much more time...unless he's waaaaaaaaay worse a player (a valid premise).
RE: Nolan Smith Update
Yawn...
And back to your foot-in-mouth retort:
Sorry there jr. Connecting the dots, you inferred that Portland was a bad team that made bad decisions...and associated their selection of Nolan in the 1st round as a mistake.
How many NBA teams would use a #1 pick on a 6-2 shooting guard? Apparently only Portland.

Might have something to do with why they are 11th in the West right now.

That comment was in relation to them using their first pick to draft someone that they intended to use out of their natural position. Thanks again for proving my point for me and looking like a fool again.

LOL.
Your retort actually proves my point (drafting Nolan that high was mistake) and has you looking like a fool again.
Cudos to the connect-the-dot challenged one.

Wrong again. The 21st overall pick wasn't unwarranted to take Nolan Smith with such a weak draft class coming out.
My point was that it was foolish to use that pick on someone you intended to play out of position from the very beginning.
Try and keep up, you are making it too easy to smack you around today.
RE: Nolan Smith Update
jr, jr, jr.
The
Blazers owned the 21st pick.
The
Blazers used the 21st pick on Nolan.
The
Blazers made a mistake to pick him that high (not some other team with some other intentions).
PG
is Nolan's
NBA position.
Try a different crayon to connect-the-dots.
RE: Nolan Smith Update
Poor Nolan.
Got the start tonight for the 'Blazers.
His current +/- in the game:
-21.

Kiwi never valued assists. Nolan is only doing what he learned at dook. That was always a "Dean Thing".
After all, Dean is the one who INNOVATED "The Point" (to the player who provided the assist.)

Dean Smith also created fire, the wheel, and the most boring offense known to man.
And even with all that, he only could manage two titles with some of the best basketball talent ever to grace college basketball.

Just because jr is, well...jr,
does not mean we should hold that
against
his creator.
Peace out.
