honestly, I think the bigger question here is why did the NCAA not take away the 35 wins?
Every single case of a school using an ineligible player (with or without school's knowledge) has been punished with the NCAA forcing the school to vacate the wins garnered with that player.
Football and basketball.
K is the only coach that didn't suffer that fate. Why?
No one is above the NCAA's rules, right?

Poor thing. For K to say "I should have taken those loses" he was lying? Can you tell me what lie was told to Avery? Specific's other than hearsay would be great. You are being way too general.

Since K fought sanctions due to him and the university not knowing that Maggette recieved money that makes him a liar or cheater in some capacity... Like I have said previously, the NCAA did a full investigation and decided that Duke did not have to suffer due to the mistakes that others made without their knowledge. The speculation of foul play by these haters is simply hot air that will go no where. Can you produce any offical court document that states that Duke should be punished or is guilty of commiting any infraction? Keep on wishing on those shooting stars haters.

Go back and READ the documnet this time. It clearly has UCLA, Missouri and Olka St suffered, since their INELIGIBLE players didn't play, because the INELIGIBLE players got money from Piggie. Why is duke so special that they can use an INELIGIBLE guy for the entire season, who ALSO got money FROM THE SAME GUY?

Read 2. I mean it's on the second page. It was part of the scheme to deprive these universities. It was part of his scheme to defraud the universities... Now why would the NCAA reward Piggie by punishing Duke when that was his intention. You are so dense. You want K to sanction himself and vacate his wins when it was found that defraud/deprive is specifically what the criminal wanted?

Then read the 2nd paragraph of page 3...

So you are upset that Mike fought the system and won? He knew that he was unaware of the payments, so why would he vacate wins or give up a scholarship?

You should take this up with the NCAA. Let us know how it goes. =D

I'll give 100M dollars to anyone that really believes a coach should get wins or losses for games that THEY DIDNT COACH. Of all the conspiracies I've ever heard, this one has to be the dumbest. Nevermind, K should get wins & losses for games that he watched on his tv recouping from surgery. Makes total sense. Btw, it gets lost on people that when K left, Duke they had an 11-4 record.
