A good (old) article about the cheating ways of K and Dook

RE: A good (old) article about the cheating ways of K and Dook

Could you comment on Roy approving of gifts/cash for Kansas seniors. An obvious Ncaa violation that Roy claimed he didn't know about. This isn't a "Roy should've known" situation, this is something he did & admitted. What is your opinion on this? If a player gets $$ as freshman or a senior, same thing, in the end, they are getting $$/gifts. Reason the Ncaa has a rule clearly stating this. I guess it is ok since it was just Roy "loving his players" Golly-gee, dag-gummit, gee-whilakers.

Was there an NCAA investigation of this incident? If there was and it was determined that the players accepted improper benefits then they should be declared ineligible the moment they accepted the gifts and any games they played from that point should be forfeited. In the case of Maggette, the investigation revealed that he accepted improper benefits prior to enrolling at dook therefore any games he participated in should be forfeited.

These guys have issue with watches, calendars.... you know, they basically can't tell the difference between different periods of time.

I always laugh at these idjots who show up an hour late in the spring, and how they get the front row parking spaces in the fall.

RE: A good (old) article about the cheating ways of K and Dook

The reason Duke fans need to point these things out is b/c rival fan's hatred skews facts. Use common sense, haters say Duke should forfeit wins from the year Maggette played? Seriously? There is a reason the Ncaa didn't do anything after investigating. B/c Duke did nothing wrong. If Maggette had stayed after this came to light, obviously he would have been ineligible. If it was found out that Ty Lawson took benefits as an AAU player and Unc had nothing do to with it or any knowledge of it, do you think Unc would vacate 2009 and the title? Surely opinions would be different and don't lie and say they wouldn't.

The other shockingly tedious hater point is K and him not getting losses for the 94 season. Again, use common sense. HE DIDNT COACH THE REST OF THE SEASON. HE DIDINT COACH THOSE GAMES. WHY WOULD HE GET W/LS IN GAMES HE DIDNT COACH. This one makes me want to smash my head against the wall.

He was the head coach of record and as such should have been credited with the wins as well as the losses. You may now smash your head against the wall.

You should tell that to the NCAA and see what they say. Just a warning, they probably will laugh at you.

The NCAA doesn't give a D about K's wins/losses. It cares about DUKE'S wins/ losses.

And we're the one laughing at you.....

And I'm laughing at the fact you are still here (3 days later) trying to discredit the NCAAs decision not to punish Duke for the Maggette incident.

You do realize he wasn't attending Duke when the incident in question occured? Because if you are aware of that, and still on here whining like a b!tch in heat, then you are way past the point of just being a pathetic troll.

RE: A good (old) article about the cheating ways of K and Dook

You can't be this stupid. Hopefully. Roy did this himself. Duke did nothing/had nothing to do with it. You see the difference right? You are right, Duke should be punished for something they had nothing to do with. You are 100% correct. Makes perfect sense. Take Duke's wins away, I don't give a $h*t. This is making my hair hurt. I'm logging off to stare at the crowd reaction to River's shot for the rest of the day.

By you logic if, hypothetically, it comes to light that one of this years Kentucky freshmen players accepted improper benefits from an agent or an AAU coach you would be OK with Kentucky retaining the NCAA tournament title?

I thought that was already an understood truth with all John Calipari teams?

So cheating is ok with you? From you post you seem not to find it objectionable.

RE: A good (old) article about the cheating ways of K and Dook

^^If that happened to a Kentucky player and UK had nothing to do with it/no knowledge of it, yes, they should keep the title. There is nothing you can do to prevent this. It's just luck of the draw. Obviously if UK/Cal knew, then that's a different story. Love how the hater's worst thing they can find on Duke...is something Duke didn't do & they'll admit that. So anywhere that Maggette went should have their season vacated. Just randomly, any school he goes to should be punished. Um, ok.

Yes, any school that Maggette played should have had to forfeit those games in which he participated. When an amateur accepts money and/or other compensation for play he is considered to be a professional in that particular sport.

Obviously, you can't read, beacuse it DOESN"T matter WHEN the money was exchanged. The NCAA infraction is when Maggette signed the NCAA required docuement that he was an eligible player while AT DUKE, when, in FACT, he was INELIGIBLE, due to his prior acts.
