Kyrie Irving and the NBA ROY

RE: Kyrie Irving and the NBA ROY

Connect the dots 903 dookie homer.

kato directly responded to snubby's request to "name a player that UNC has put in the NBA in the last 10 years that is anywhere near the level of Boozer, Irving, or Deng"...with "UNC's Ty Lawson led his playoff team in ppg and apg. His value and contributions definitely qualify as being "anywhere near" the dookies you mention (apg better than Irving, ppg better than Boozer or Deng)."

There was no attempt to disparage Irving or Boozer or Deng...just provided some comparative stats that discredited snubby's "anywhere near" blurt. Then you felt compelled to jump in and mis-direct/deflect...which is something you do quite well and quite often.

"anywhere near" is subjective. You think "anywhere near" means ppg and mpg or whatever.

I think "anywhere near" is player A made the all-star game so player B that also made the all-star game is "anywhere near" player A.

As soon as Lawson makes an all-star game, he will be near Deng and Boozer.

Lawson is a phenomenal talent, however one thing to consider is Deng and Boozer also play with Rose, (missed 27 games this season) who is going to get his on any given night.

And in those 27 games with CJ Watson starting instead of Rose, they were 18-9. At that rate, they would've still finished 2nd in the East, 4th overall.

And as soon as Boozer and Deng win an NBA championship ring they may be near the multiple UNC playes who have already done so.

So you're one of those people that thinks NBA rings make good players? Guess how many rings Adam Morrison has.

RE: Kyrie Irving and the NBA ROY

I think "anywhere near" is player A made the all-star game so player B that also made the all-star game is "anywhere near" player A.

The above interpretation would make player B equal to player A.

If player B were to have equal to or better numbers...and appear on the most recent All Star ballot...and be widely recognized as an All Star snub, then that would make player B "anywhere near" player A.

Whadda dookie homer.

I wasn't aware that Adam Morrison played for either dook or UNC. Also, being name an all-star is now basically a popularity contest since the fans do the voting.

Adam Morrison > Charles Barkley (according to UNC logic)

The fans vote the starters in. Boozer and Deng were both selected based on merit.

What a facepalm, I don't think The1 has ever watched basketball in his life by some of his posts.

Debating basketball with him is one of those most pathetic things I have ever seen.
