I am currently in conversations with Coach K of Duke for a multi-year, neutral-based series that will be played around the country in the best facilities. The games would take place on the same weekend every year and would be THE GAME to watch.

Considering the Blue Devils are UNC's chief rival, and that UNC-UK has often been early-season must-see TV in recent years, expect that last statement to tweak North Carolina fans a bit.

I don't think he was trying to slight UNC. Duke and UK don't play each other often enough considering the history between them. You would think they would have played more than 8 times the last 34 years. Duke won 6 of those with 3 being in the NCAA tourney. They have played 19 times total with UK up 11-8. They haven't played each other in 11 years. So yeah, those games will be huge and score some record ratings. Would probably still be THE GAME to watch next to Duke/UNC though.

News for UNC fan. Neutral games are tougher than 9 home games straight (against teams with an average RPI of 275) over a 42-day period.
