Wonder why they keep interviewing James and Wade after each game and not Battier? They must have changed their policies on who the stars of the game are. Battier is a role player who doesn't get guarded because of the star power on this Heat team. Is he still part of the team.....absolutely! Does he contribute......yes! Will this series be decided because of him.....no!

He's a key role player for the Heat, like Rodman was for the Bulls.

Not sure I would put him on Rodmans level. Battier definitely plays harder all the time but Rodman was a rebounding machine unlike any player that I have ever seen. I guess compared to Jordan and Pippen yes he was a role player but compared to Battier no. Thats not a crack on Battier.

True that.
In NBA championship seasons with the Bulls, Rodman was all defensive 1st team once and rebounding champ thrice.

Rodman's a HOFer. I would not say Battier is quite yet in the HOF discussion. But if you guys want to, I guess it just further proves Battier is playing pretty well.
