Bobcats name Gerald Henderson captain
Nice to see the leadership skills learned by Coach K's former players are valued at the next level.

They're among the longest-tenured players on the roster (technically, reserve center Gana Diop has the longest tenure). Also Henderson and Carroll were among the most committed players to the off-season workout program new coach Mike Dunlap has emphasized.
Henderson appreciated that Dunlap consulted with him about this, rather than just announce captains.
"He asked me if I wanted to be captain. He wanted me to take it on," said Henderson, last season's leading scorer at 15.1 points per game. "I don't like just being called a captain. I wanted to earn it."

Gerald Henderson is my all-time favorite Duke player. I think his jersey should be retired, just for this golden moment (one of the best in ACC history):

You forgot the absolute best part. Unc beat dooks tail that game. Ol captain cowardly was just hot and bothered by the curb stomping Hansy laid on him.

True, but that was pretty much a given going into the game. The other actions were unexpected, especially someone finally penalizing the dookies for their cheap shots. That's what made it so special.

dude, that is too funny!!!!! But Tyler did deserve everything he got. Plus now after we found out he has been inelgible this whole time, he deserves it even more!!!! good times.
