I have noticed that if they don't have a come back they will criticize your grammar, or say you are gay talk about a former player they don't like.

to honor baddier for celebrating at denny's after lebron won the nba championship, they have replaced the elephant ears with powder sugar on the menu with the baddier ears. they say they are about twice as large as the elephant ears.

My good Duke friend that cleans out the cages at the Lemur Center said he heard that Shane will be announcing his retirement soon. Said Shane alluded he is not able to adjust to the new flopping rules and does not want to press his luck with his lost shooting touch. Please say it ain't so, Shane!

Glad to see Shane set another record with the most 3 pointers in a deciding game 7 of an NBA championship. Cool under pressure.

Danny had a couple of bad shooting games, and now duke fans want to kick him out of the league? Guess JJ will be sitting beside him?

Green will have to work on flying. You can't drive to Croatia from here.

Miami said they would put the clamps on greeen after game five. Battier hit big shots. Duncan just missed those shots. It wasn't the D. Also Green will have a long NBA career! He has to work on driving, and finishing!

Strong game for Shane to conclude his NBA career on. Let's hope one of our other role players sticks around long enough to pick up a championship.

Lebron is w/o question the star, but Battier was the difference 2nite. Also was the guy hitting in game 6 when they were down big. Green had nothin'. Nothin'

    Battier 6 - 8 shooting
    Danny Green 1 - 12
    When it counted.

Battier is a champion on every level.

On a positive note for Green, he will pick up a ton of frequent flyer miles on his trip to Croatia.

Yep, came up huge in the 4th. Not just the 6 threes. The D on Duncan's missed hook and putback without bailing him out with a foul, the tip out on the last offensive possession so the Heat could run out the clock. Good thing Coach Spo knew to play his champions in Game 7.

    Another World Championship for Battier.

"Mr. Clutch" Battier simply put the team on his shoulders and refused to let them lose while Danny Green folded like a cheap lawn chair.

Battier. Winner. On the court. In college. In the NBA. Winner in life. Future NBA GM or NBA Commish, unless Grant Hill already has the position filled. There are winners in life like Grant Hill and Battier and there are sad, pathedic posters on Duke Wral sites. Figure out which one you are.

11:27 to go in the 4th quarter of Game 7:

    Battier is 5 for 5 from 3 point land - 15 points...

    Heat up 75-73.

OWNED and in predictably cowardly fashion, he deleted his post. Typical for the loser.

The original reply was that the coach was forced to play Battier because the rest of the team's salary cap space was used on the big three. My reply to his fallacy demonstrates that the coach has other options that are paid more than Battier yet played fewer than Battier's 24 minutes.

Battier played more minutes than the following. The ones in bold are paid more than Battier.

    J. Anthony

    R. Allen

    N. Cole

    M. Miller

    J. Jones

    R. Lewis

    D. Pittman U. Haslem

    Comment deleted.

kato mistakenly responded to a post by 903 dookie homer (something that ceased after said homer posted disparaging and uncalled for remarks about the US military).

If Shane is so bad, why would the coach play him 24 minutes? Sounds to me like UNC fans are like Roy....they only consider the offensive end of the court and ignore defense. Obviously, Shane must be doing something well if the coach is playing him 24 minutes in the biggest game (up to this point) in the season.

It is truly amazing what all Shane Battier has managed to accomplish, considering that his skull never fused properly and part of his brain is exposed. No helmet for Shane (at least not since grade school or so) - he refuses to let his condition keep him from taking more charges than a matador, every single game. Here's to the NBA's favorite "fall guy," Shane "The Brain" Battier!

Shane Battier helped propel Miami to a win on Thursday with 18 points, three rebounds, one steal, two blocks and six 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
Battier had his best game of the season tonight and he has now hit 11 3-pointers in his last three games.
He also drew this nice charge from an out-of-control Ty Lawson at the 5:43 mark in the 4th quarter with Miami up 85-84:
