I don't "disagree" with the NCAA ruling on Maggette, but I think that Duke got off pretty easy, and I have to ask myself "why"?

Lance - don't have proof, but deep down I think he got that money (and probably the necessary verbal backing for the $70K financing) from someone he shouldn't have gotten it from. Just a feeling.

My point is if you are going to call out Roy for not policing his players' class choices, you should call out K for not policing his players' behavior.

Policing class choices is easier to do because you have a academic advisor who's on payroll to do just that. And Roy had Walden - the most corrupt one he could find who magically disappeared right before UNC got busted.

I don't know any college coach who accompanies their players 24x7 on Chrismas break.

An ineligible player is ineligible, whether he plays in one game or eighty. Why did Duke not have to forfeit games?

The NCAA investigated and determined Duke didn't have to forfeit games.

despite your irrational, almost pathological hatred of Roy and UNC, I am glad to find out that if the NCAA chooses not to investigate the UNC basketball program on this, or investigates it and does not penalize UNC, you will accept their decision as just and reasonable.

The NCAA has been so embarrassed by the UNC slow motion cover up that they will be harder on them now and probably make an example of them. I would hate to see Duke go through this mess but lucky for us we don't follow your Carolina way.

It is my humble opinion that not only was Jason williams better than Hurley but he just possibly might have been the best point guard of all time.

After all he even had a dome named in his honor. :)
