I wouldn't blame Tennessee for coming after him and I also wouldn't blame Cut for listening to them. But the last time they came calling for him, they didn't offer him enough to make it worth his while and that was a big mistake by them. Their loss was Duke's gain and I wouldn't want anyone else coaching Duke football.

NC State should can O'Brien and hire Cutcliffe. Not necessarily because Cutcliffe would be any better, but just because it would be funny as hell.

Last time I heard it was mostly that he would not back off having his assistants come with him while Tennessee was interested in keeping the better recruiters already on staff.
