Mason Plumlee is maybe the most talented of the brothers. He has more grit, fire in the belly, and desire from what I saw last night. He screened, he shot the ball, hustled, ran the floor, and hit 11-12 FT's. He will win a bunch of games for Duke. When Coach K says this is Mason's team...mark it down.

Taking up lying again? Guess the lesson wasn't learned after all.

p.s. I didn't watch dook's football games with Fla State or Clemson either, but I know they were the very definition of domination.

You should probably find somebody other than Daddy E's boy to start listening to.

Yeah because you've made such a strong case that you should be listened to. Someone that thinks he knows what happened in a game that he didn't watch.

Not a contradiction at all. I do find the dook brand of basketball hard to watch, but I have seen Plumless play. You do realize he plays UNC at least twice a year, don't you. And, I even force myself to suffer through that dook garbage at other times - tourney time, etc.

No to all except concede that I don't like dook. And, the stats are what happened in the game. That's the definition of stats.

It's not surprising that you view someone who disagrees with you as a threat. Most of us don't view any poster as a threat, but, whatever floats your boat.

You should probably find somebody other than Daddy E's boy to start listening to.

"Good luck. I've been waiting to see him dominate anyone taller than 6-6 since he was a freshman."

"Forgive me if I find it hard to watch that dook brand of basketball."

    Contradiction?

If I can produce a player 6-7 or taller that Mason has dominated will you go away, do a topic change like the rest of your UNC brethren, or conceed that you just don't like Duke and enjoy talking smack even if your statements are based on stat sheet while everyone else is talking about what happened in the actual game?

Does it suprise anyone that this is a "PAPER TIGER" UNC fan?

I hear they are tearing up the floor in the Dean Dome and replacing it with 20lb. bond because UNC always looks good on paper.

I am homeristic? Cool. Reference the "homerism" if it is not too much trouble. Do something productive for the discussion if you are so desperate to be a part of it. I referenced earlier that 2 UK players definitely did not get dominated. Wipe the really dark brown motor oil out of your eyes and try to stay on topic.

Yes, I consider an opinion about a team baseless if you have not watched them play. I know that I am unreasonable, but I must live with my flaws, not you. Thank you for your concern.

P.S. kato did not watch the Lehigh/dook game, but can make a well-informed opinion that CJ McCollum dominated.

Your post total and screen name could be used. 357 post in a month and still heelman suggest a banning. Again, working with text on a website does not paint a clear picture about you, wouldn't you say? By your standards, I could easily say you have no life and that you can not follow rules. As you see, text can be misleading. Enjoy your baseless rant about a team you don't care to follow /eyeroll

Mason is shooting 77% from the field and 77% from the FT line. This kid put a TON of work in during the summer.

Though you might erroneously form that opinion by talking to other people, you will not find any stats to support it. I have plenty to support my contention that Plumless, although he may have slightly outplayed Noel, certainly did not dominate him.

The point of this entire thread was to say it's laughble to think 1) Coach K can't develop big men, and 2) Duke big men only set screens.

Plumlee is absolutely tearing up the competition right now, which includes the future #1 NBA draft pick. He is going to average 20PPG and 10RPG, which is hardly "just setting screens."

Also look at 2014 #2 Recruit Jahlil Okafor's USA Today blog, where he also thinks its funny that people say Duke big men only set screens.

The bottom line, it's a MYTH. Coach K plays to his strengths, which is usually guard-play and outside shooting. This year, Duke is pounding the ball inside to Mason, with great results. I only see 1 big man in the country who's better than Mason, and that's Cody Zeller.

Those opinions take a back seat to opinions of those with actual emperical knowledge. That would be like me saying "you are dumb and ugly because of your stats and talking to other people."

Again, you should start a blog, on anything and everything, since all you need is to see a box score and to talk to some people.

It does not take a genious to understand that it is worse to watch a game and intentionally then make self-serving (dook homeristic) opinions than to not watch a game and form non-biased opinions (such as those made by heelman).

True freshman, future #1 NBA pick-- I'd say that's good competition. Plumlee only played like 26 minutes and had 18pts, pretty much scored at will against Anthony Davis v2.

It wasn't Mason against Noel with 8 guys standing around. And the Mason foul trouble wasn't a direct result of fouls he got due to guarding Noel in the post.

Until you take the time to watch the game, you discussing what happened is a waste of everyone's time.

Remind us who forced Mason into that foul trouble. Probably the guy who Mason clearly could not dominate.

Forgive me if I find it hard to watch that dook brand of basketball. Flopping when your man gets within a foot of you, kicking out at your defender when you shoot jump shots, setting moving screens, fouling on every possession because your coach told you "the refs can't call a foul on every play", cursing the refs on every call .... just not something I enjoy watching.

Mason's stats came in 29 minutes

Noel's stats came in 38 minutes

Mason played most of the game in foul trouble, which effects how you play defense.

Mason's back up was the 6-7 Hairston, playing out of position due to Mason's foul trouble and our back up injured. Noel had the benefit of playing a center in foul trouble and a short center and still had his stat line beaten logging 9 more minutes.

Duke did not dominate Poythress or Goodwin.

Watching the game will grant you more direct knowledge of this subject.

I see a freshmen forcing his far more experienced opponent into 5 TOs and into fouling out. He clearly did not get dominated. You can see it, too, but choose not to admit it.

I saw him dominate the post. Taking 8 shots and only missing one is dominating on offense. And forcing your opponent to miss 6 of 11 from no further than 3 feet from the basket is dominating on defense. You can see that in a box score but you choose not to.
