Obviously, Duke came out of the gates this early season. Mason Plumlee has grown up folks. There is no one player in Div I that has improved like he has vs last season. Zeller is a player too. Mason is going to lead Duke to a Final 8 or above. Cook may become the glue to keep Duke moving forward. Curry has also stepped it up. Duke's bench is stronger than most in the ACC. Watch the free throws.

Funny you use the word cowardly. Cowardly is another way of saying lacking toughness - Roy's description of his team's play against butler. And everyone's description of his actions at Fsu.

Thinking about it, Dook does remind me of #2. I guess the pollsters were casting their opinions on their flopping playing style and cowardly coach who will not play OOC away games.

UNC played a terrible Butler team full of white guys. Let me know when UNC doesn't cheat

Actually you were handed the title because you were using an illegally paid player.

That travesty should be corrected soon.

    Let's see:

Dook played Kentucky without starting PG Harrow.

Dook played Louisville without their starting center and one of the best shot blockers in the country.

Let me know when Dook plays a healthy top 10 team.

That wasn't just our fanbase, that was the entire college basketball watching world.

(And our opinions haven't changed, btw. Sorry.)

your arrogant fanbaseComing from a fanbase who said Duke was handed the 2010 National Title because they only had to beat Butler who proceeds to downplay their loss to Butler (only now it's Butler without NBA calibre players).

    Ah, yes.

Cuz losing in November is exactly the same as getting BOUNCED from the first round of a tournament in which your arrogant fanbase expects you to go Dancing in the Final Four.

Yup, Exactly the same, those two.

Ranked about the same position as the Heels when Butler took them to the wood shed.

Duke has definitely earned it. They were very impressive against Kentucky, VCU, and Louisville. Congrats to the Blue Devils - we are still going to beat your a$&es later this season, but congrats for now :-)

What was that about UNC and Butler? Oh yeah, 29 pts down in the 2nd half. UNC finishes no better than 4th in the ACC.

That's the only way you could justify the 29 point spanking they gave UNC before they let the foot off the pedal out of pity.

But unfortunately for you, reality tells us Butler was ranked 6th preseason in the A-10.

He cares, he cares very deeply. He has no clue how many AA's are on any team.

Heck, by the numbers he uses, he has no clue how many players are on a team.

OK, if you insist. Butler was ranked number 1 and had 37 high school AA's on their team.

What does number of high school AA's have to do with it? Where's UNC ranked and how many do they have? Where's Butler ranked and how many do they have?

  • The1 Nov 26, 2012

Only second? They should be number 1. After all, they have 16 high school AA's on that team.

NC State dropped to #18, and UNC dropped to #13/14. Both teams looked utterly unimpressive last week. UNC was down by 29 to Butler at one point, and NC State was blown out by an unranked Oklahoma St club, then barely managed a 2pt win at home vs UNC-Asheville.

  • BlueDevils00 Nov 26, 2012
    Sports Legend

After steamrolling the competition in the Bahamas, and recording their 2nd win vs a top-5 opponent, Duke is #2 in both national polls.
