Duke is looking like a real threat to contend for a NT, if they stay healthy. Great team defense and solid shooting. Add Plumlee as the centerpiece of the offense and you have a top 5 team all year. IF Jefferson can develop and Marshall can contribute in the rebounding category, Duke should contend for the NT.

This season bears a striking resemblance to the 2010 season. Duke has senior leadership in the bigs, youthful exuberance on the perimeter, and the always heady and steady coach K on the bench. Carolina is back after losing the nucleus from their previous years national championship team (see preseason national champions last year), 16 more McDonald's All Americans on the team, and ol Roy without a clue on the bench. And State............... well they're still State.

Now we'll just have to wait and see how the stars align.

In 2010 UNC suffered a ton of injuries that caused the season to spiral out of control. If this UNC squad stays healthy they will be just fine.
