RE: Duke to sweep unc this year
If Cook keeps his head on straight, dook will be very, very good. Solidifying the PG position on both ends of the floor for this group makes all the difference.
For UNC, it does not look like Hubert, Johnson, or James (or combo of the 3) will be enough help for McAdoo in and around the paint. The Heels will get better as the season progresses, but a Sweet 16 appearance is a stretch goal.

Darn cojo, you can have a rational thought after all or did you cut and paste that.
RE: Duke to sweep unc this year
LOL.
Was hoping Cook stayed in Kiwi's doghouse. Thornton is functional, but Cook is clearly the better PG.
UNC can only hope to improve getting and hitting looks from out yonder as McAdoo will consistently draw the other team's best post defender(s), including double-teams (unless those aforementioned players step it up significantly).
Oh...and NCSU -- looks like kato was right about them. One basketball is not enough for that crew...especially with the emergence of Warren. When Calvin does not get his touches, he turns into CJ.

Anything's possible. Hell, look at the dookies football team. They manage to win a football game against the Heels every 20 years or so.
dook will definitely win the first game. We'll see how the young Heels progress before calling the 2nd one.

Kato, I know you're a closet Duke fan, brah....lol
Cook is doing a lot of things well, dishing out 6 assists per game, scoring in double figures, & averaging 32 min. a night. Very impressed with Plumlee's improvement (scoring & FTs), Kelly is steady & plays better D (blocks) than he gets credit for...Sulaimon looks like he's gonna be a star at some point, & Thornton gives 'em quality minutes. As a fan, like what I see thus far.
UNC - somebody posted the other day that this stuff runs in cycles. That is true! UNC lost some serious talent at the conclusion of last season so most fans knew there would be some growing pains, etc., this season. Preparation & game experience will serve them well down the road. Still very talented.
Re: topic - Duke needs to keep taking 'em one game at a time & see what happens.
