    come to think of it...
no dookie-homer fan has come forth to nominate a single former dookie as making a significant mark in the NBA.
(actually, kato created a congrats thread for Grant -- zero dookie-homers fan even chimed in)

Let's see what mark UNC players drafted in 2002 left... well, none since they didn't have any players drafted in 2002.

How about 2003? Nope. How about 2004? Nope.

    2005? Yep.
    #2 Marvin Williams
    #5 Raymond Felton
    #13 Sean May
    #14 Rashad McCants
    undrafted Jawad Williams

you were saying something about failing to leave a mark in the NBA???

what little mark he has made in the NBA, it is now in recession.

    courtesy cbssports.com...

Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer has seen his minutes slip this season. First it was seeing his fourth quarter minutes dip as Tom Thibodeau elected to go with Taj Gibson, something he's done over the years due to Gibson's defense. But the Chicago Tribue notes that Wednesday, Boozer played just 24 minutes, the entire first and third quarters and no more for the ninth straight time.

that is correct, Marshall has a ways to go before leaving a mark in the NBA...

same is true for any former dookie that has been or is currently in the League.

But don't Marshall's assists mean nothing unless he can lead the Lakers to the playoffs?

Either way he was well short of Josh McRoberts' 13 assists last night.

of those, the 11-game ex-dookie touted as their best ever won't get his team into the playoffs, again.

Speaking of the NBA, did you know that last night:

Of the players that Duke and UNC have active in the league 5 out of the top 5 scorers were Dukies.
5 out of the top 6 rebounders were Dukies.
5 out of the top 6 assist men were Dukies.
Between the two schools Dukies accounted for 70% of the points scored, 65% of the rebounds taken, and 76% of the assists distributed.

Just another night in the NBA.

Carlos Boozer, the 19th highest-paid player in the NBA in 2013-14 (and one of the highest not playing in this year's All-Star game), appears to be on the downhill part of his career as his stats have declined significantly from his back-to-back All-Star years in 2007 and 2008. This year the 32-year-old is averaging only 14.8 ppg.

    Update on Carlos, courtesy espn.Chicago.com...

The veteran power forward has not played in the fourth quarter in the past two games and is clearly bothered by what he perceives as a lack of opportunity from coach Tom Thibodeau.

Thibodeau has been going with backup forward Taj Gibson late in games, mainly because Boozer's defensive struggles have been an issue since his first season in Chicago.

Carlos Boozer scored a team-high 17 points in Monday's 96-81 win over the Cavs, adding seven boards, four assists, one steal and two blocks in 34 minutes.
It was his second game in a row shooting 7-of-11 from the field, plus he added season highs in assists and blocks. Boozer is starting off this season on the right foot on offensive with his 60 percent from the field
