DURHAM, N.C. - Duke redshirt junior cornerback Ross C*ckrell and freshman kicker Ross Martin both have received honorable mention All-America accolades from Sports Illustrated, the outlet announced on Tuesday.

C*ckrell, a team co-captain from Waxhaw, N.C., leads the ACC in interceptions with five while ranking third in total passes defended with 17. Nationally, he ranks tied for ninth in interceptions and tied for 12th in total passes defended.

In 12 games this year, C*ckrell has compiled 63 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 12 pass breakups. In 35 career games, he has 179 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, nine interceptions and 28 PBUs. On Duke's all-time charts, C*ckrell ranks tied for eighth in interceptions and eighth in PBUs.

C*ckrell, a first team All-ACC choice by both the league's coaches and media this season, has scored two touchdowns in 2012, taking back a blocked field goal attempt 75 yards versus FIU while returning an interception 32 yards for a score against N.C. Central.

A native of Solon, Ohio, Martin has put together the finest placekicking season in school history by totaling 98 points by making 18-of-20 field goals and all 44 of his PAT attempts. With one game remaining, he has already set the school single-season record for PATs, bettering Robert Gantt's previous Duke standard of 41 in 1943.

The 98 points rank as the second-highest single-season total in school history, trailing only Clarkson Hines' total of 104 in 1989, while the 18 field goals also rank second on Duke's single-season chart, trailing only Will Snyderwine's total of 21 in 2010.

Martin owns school freshman records for points in a game (15 vs. North Carolina), points in a season (98), field goals in a game (4 vs. North Carolina), field goals in a season (18), longest field goal (50 yards vs. Georgia Tech) and PATs in a season (44).
