Duke has definitely shown that they belong in the # 1 position. It takes loads of A games to remain. When the ACC begins, they will still be OK. No one has improved as much since last year. Duke is the only team that hasn't been overly hyped in the ACC.

I would say Vatech has been a very pleasant surprise this season thus far. Two players in top five of acc in scoring thus far, who would have thought? Amazing what a fresh look can do for a group of talented young men. May finally be that year, but of course everything is to early to talk about on this forum, at this time of the season.

Losing to Georgia Southern shot them down a notch. No need to lose this one. We had a shot at beating WVU. Just a few plays away. But. I'm still waiting to see what they do with teams until the ACC. Then we will know a little more. Erick Green is 1/3 of our team with his stats. He can't run like this without some help. Eddie is a solid player when he stays in the game. Two top players bolted when they fired Seth. Poor azsz timing on this one by the AD. Still wishing/hoping. That's all Hokie fans have had for several years now.

Totally forgot about the Georgia southern loss, that was a step back. Look around the acc though and many teams have had head scratching losses or near losses. Ecu had a chance against unc in chapel hill, and State almost lost to uncasheville. I really liked Seth but it was time for a change, agree the timingcould have been better.

^^^ State was fortunate against UNC-A. ECU had UNC on the ropes too. Roy was fortunate with FT's. That was the difference maker. Lebo could have put a huge stamp on his resume. UNC doesn't have a defense. I wonder who is coaching these all-americans on defense? If Lebo wins like I think he will during his contractual agreement with ECU, UNC people with power will pay attention. He's in front of Hubert Davis and all coaches on the Carolina bench. Davis has never coached. That's his only drawback.

Duke is heads above all right now. MD is much better at 9-1. UNC is at 8-2, and excaped ECU with FT's. State was fortunate to get by UNC-A at 7-2. That's my order right now. We'll see after the non-conference games.

Duke, MD, UNC, State/Miami. I don't see State being the team to beat as per the pre-season. Not a top 25 team in my opinion. I see Duke winning the ACC and the tourney.

FSU doesn't have the same power on defense this year, and it's showing up. Miami is at 6-1, and they have a great coach that they respect. UVA & VT are 8-2. I like that VT has played much better vs the last several years. We have no depth. We just lost another player with a fractured foot. UNC has to improve on defense to go this year.
