How long will it take Dookies to forget the disgraced K who had to use illegal players to win?

At least Stevens will do it the right way for a change.

I would love to see it happen. Stevens could win without having paid players and having to flop instead of play defense.

Stevens will not be replacing him any time soon. They will look within the family (Capel, Dawkins, Amaker, Wojo, Brey and Collins) first, and if/when that fails to produce the desired results, they will look outside of Dook's inner circle. Maybe in 10 years, he may be your guy. That all depends on how patient the Dook big wigs will be with his immediated successor.

K has already stated that he would prefer one of his in house guysa NOT coaching Duke when he leaves, he says to much pressure on them in a first head coach stint. I could see a number of guys filling the position, including Stevens, who has said several times K is his coaching idol.

He also said that he would not be a major player in who is chosen to be the next coach. That is a lame excuse for Duke not to choose a current or former Duke coach to take his place. There will be just as much pressure on an outsider, not from his system to take over.

I saw it on the DBR website (yes I do read about other teams). I need to rephrase a bit. He said he should be involved, but would not make the final decision.
