Hopefully, that will change in the future.
I agree, because he is such an asset on the offensive end.
My biggest concern is that Alex is one of the prototypical transfer candidates. Lots of offensive skills, while lacking on the defensive end, still wanting and feeling they deserve more PT. Next he looks up and Parker and Hood is coming next year, sure to eat up lots of the available minutes along with Amile.- Posted by MoDuke v2
The people I've talked to close, who are close with the program, seem to think it's simply a matter of confidence. Once Alex gets his confidence back, he will see expanded minutes. He has played much better (and more) lately. By March, he should be in the rotation.- Posted by BlueDevils00
It's not his fault Duke will have two lottery picks at SF and PF next year. Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker would start over 99% of players in college basketball. We're probably looking at 2014 when Amile Jefferson and Alex Murphy are starters.

correct me if I am wrong, but the lack of confidence comes on the defensive side of the ball, correct?
