Does anyone know if Alex Murphy is sick or injured?

He only played 3 minutes in Duke's blow out at Elon. He was red shirted last year and is playing spaingly this year. This guy was one of the highest rated players coming out of high school. How can a player of his ability enjoy sitting on the bench?

Probably he would be starting but for sure he would be playing more. Roy cares more about his players than his record.

Amazing the inside knowedege you have of both programs. How do you know Roy cares more?

So If you recruited a kid and he came to your school, got hurt the first year and red shirted and then wasn't as good as the kids in front of him on the roster, you would play him anyway?

Really?? Do you think that is fair to the kids who are performing better than him and the program?

Would like to point out that Cook got few minutes after being hurt and UNABLE to play for an extended period of time. K brought him back slowly. I would suggest this may be the same with Murphy. I would also suggest Murphy didn't play much ball last year since head injuries are dangerous and the healing process is taken carefully and slowly. I can't imagine he was in the gym much, running and jumping and jarring his poor ol' brainbone. Note that Marshall was in a boot again after 2 minutes of play.

Alex Murphy lacks the defensive ability K wants to see. Until he figures out how to play defense to K's liking, he will continue to ride the pine.

I agree, because he is such an asset on the offensive end.
