Yeah, Duke could always, lie, cheat, deny, deflect the 800lb gorilla in the room, which is UNCheat NCAA sanctions and that UNCheat was ineligiblle for a bowl game this year.

    Talk about a debacle.

Only a dookie could find g'times today after the debacle their team showed last night. But then a 6-6 record was good for a contract extension and raise....REAL HIGH EXPECTATIONS...LMWAO! Then the record goes to 6-7. I wish I worked for dook and got my evals that way. Haw,haw, haw

BTW - Cutie showed what a crybaby he is at halftime! What a wuss

i have to say that going from 6-2 to 6-7, and losing the way they did tonite, is just tough to put a positive spin on...but, they were competitive

The reality of the night is, Duke played well enough to beat a team that finished 10-3. A couple untimely fumbles was the difference. Duke loses one of the best receivers in ACC history and another great receiver and a great QB but they will be replaced by Boone and Sirk at QB and more snaps to Connette and many receivers are returning as well as all of the backs. The defense pretty much remains intact except they will all be a year older and will be better after all the experience they gained in this bowl season just completed.

It's just another great day to be a Duke fan.

Most likely scenario for next year: loss to UNC, losing record, no bowl.

Only Duke could celebrate a 6-7 season as if they really accomplished anything. Only at Duke could a coach keep his job with Cut's record. Now that Duke is through with their breakout season its back to 3-9 for years to come.

That's putting a nice spin on that trainwreck that was the second half of Duke's season!

Although Duke lost the Belk Bowl, they were in a bowl and lost a game where they were the underdog.

The future looks great. We lose a few seniors but still have our coaching staff and many returning players that played many downs over the last couple years. Looking forward to beating UNC again and the next bowl appearance next year.
