Uhhhh.UNC did not shoot any FTs in 1st half of UNLV.....how could they have been getting any benis???? Again, please refrain from talking TBK, until state kollege beats a ranked team.

It may be because UNC is a poor foul shooting team and rather that allowing them a good shot it makes better sense to foul.

In one of Carolina's recent losses, the Heels were way behind. Yet, they got a lot more foul calls. Normally, the team that is behind is the one fouling to catch up. Why would the team with the lead commit a lot of fouls? If you don't think Carolina benefits from poor officiating, you're not paying close enough attention.

Anytime SCC has beaten Duke or Carolina its because of bad calls! Oh wait.....I sound like a bitter red rager now! Pathetic!

Very good breakdown of game. I said something very similar earlier.

My statement had NOTHING to do with being kind to Heels fans. I said what I believe. I say the same thing, regardless of who played, or lost.

You want to see who gets calls, in any game? When watching basketball, make a list at the 5 minute mark in the second half. Then mark EVERY whistle to the team that whistle favored. When the game is over, see how it adds up. THEN you can see who gets the calls. You may be surprised. It can be an interesting excercise.

Duke got away with 3 helmet to helmet hits, Cincy 1. That one happened at a crucial time, as Duke was at the goal-line, trying to score. It knocked the ball loose and Cincy recovered. Duke was up 16-0 at the time and that TD would have made it 23-0. As is, Cincy scored to make it 16-7. Duke couldn't stop Cincy, bottom line. How do you let a team go 99+ yards? Once Cincy calmed down and got into the game, I figured Duke would find a way to lose. When was the last time you saw a football team getting ready to score the WINNING TD, with less than 2 minutes left in the game, and lose by 14? Weirdest ending I have seen in a loooong time.

If bad calls were a random thing, then all things being equal, they would hurt teams as much as they help teams.

When is the last time Duke or Carolina LOST a game due to bad officiating?

You're too kind to the Holes, TB. What you describe is the way things SHOULD be. But they most certainly AREN'T.

But what else would you expect from the all time biggest troll on this site?

Puke got robbed? How stupid can you be? Puke choked the game away to a Cincy team that had a depleted coaching staff. Choked it away. They got "robbed" when they got back to the city of crime.

You do not get ROBBED, if you do not fumble the ball with a chance to score. This is their own fault, and not the officials. If they had taken advantage of their earlier opportunities, then they would have put the game away, and not have to worry about a call not going their way!

well stated! the only one Duke should be upset with is themselves. they gave up too mnay big plays on defense and the offense had 4 turnovers as well. turning around a fball program is a slow moving process but genuine progress is being made.

Oh my god beaver, proof and troof that you are a closet dookie. Did Hess ref this game too or did swofford have something to do with it. Dook won the game for cincy period. Robbed! You are out of your gourd son.

Yeah...no mention of the penalty that should have been a dead ball with a first dwon that instead dropped it back to 3rd and 12 for Cincy in 4th quarter. The announcers were saying bad call. Also the helmet hits that dook kept getting away with. I felt that dook got the calls their way much more so than Cincy and Cincy was able to overcome it with dooks turnovers and silly play!
Dook basically handed Cincy the game on a silver platter after having it in their back pocket.

Duke definitely shot themselves in the foot but it didn't help any that the refs stomped on the other foot. With that said, I am very proud of the gutsy effort this team showed. A chance to win with about 1:30 to go is as good as I could have realistically hoped for. We'll be back. Oh yeah, the bell looks much nicer in DUKE BLUE.

The punt did not go out of bounds. It was clear on my 50" HD television, and it was clear to the refs that reviewed it.

You're right about the helmet-to-the-head hits. But Cincy did that once, too, and caused a fumble on the 1 yard line. Guess you forgot to take note of that one.

But as usual, I'm here to correct your mistakes.

Glad to know you watched the game. Sorry your team was not allowed to play this year in a bowl.

You can not say it was not an entertaining game to watch. Plenty of points scored and a dramatic last 5 minutes. I really wish Duke would have kicked a field goal and left the game in the defense's hands with 1:00 left.

All the missed dookie helmet tackles, missed deadball foul in 4th quarter, punt that went out of bounds....dook got way more calls than Cincy. For sure!!

Pass interference on a play where the ball was uncatchable gave Cincy a first down when it should have been fourth down. Then the penalty on Cincy took 3 points off the board for Duke just before halftime.

Duke messed up, too, but they got robbed in once case by the refs and in another, by the rules.
