LOL. That sort of logic is going to drive "licks me liberally" to the infinite depths of his unc manifesto. Not much left in there to brag on since Duke has overtaken most every bragging right unc once had....an obvious sign of a program in rapid decline. Pretty soon they'll drop out of the top-25 and no one will even care. What's that you say? Oh, my bad; it's already past tense on that one too.

So would I, if my head-to-head record was a pitiful 14-24 agaist my arch-rival, like Kiwi's is to Dean.

That's a no brainer. Easy math. Can never be erased.

Let me put this in terms a UNC fan should be able to understand....

Coach K put 4 banners up that say National Champion on them. Dean put 2 banners up that say National Champion on them.

Is there a banner for head-to-head? I know there isn't one for that at Duke. UNC.....I'm not so sure.

Not trying to erase anything. So you think the talent at Duke when K arrived and DES had been at UNcheat for 15+ years was equal huh? Interesting.

Btw, K went to 7-9 FF's while DES was at UNcheat.

    Anyone can. Make stats lie.

I will take 4 NC's over head to head each and every day of the week.

  • Lux Libertas Jan 16, 2013

Dean was 24-14 against a guy who has 4 National Titles.

It can never be erased, regardless of how hard you try.

Coach K would've loved to have gotten one in 1991 against Dean but Dean couldn't beat Kansas that year and couldn't even stay on the floor until the end...another thing Roy learned from his mentor.

But bottom line, I'd rather have 4 National Titles than 2 National Titles.

So they mean less because hey weren't head to head against DES? That is so lame.

4 national titles against coaches not named "Dean" sure LOL!

And of course you would say that, you're a dookie.

Pick YOUR arbitrary dates/stats and the results are the same.

Week one? You mean preseason? That was all UNC's failure there. The talent returned and burned.

The second before the Lehigh game would be week 18's rank as it was the last available.

If you come up with a unit of measurement for disappointment let us know and we will work out the math. I am confident if anyone can put a number on disappointment it will be you. Your arbitrary dates/stats have disappointed me.

Super Flameouts are reserved for the NIT.

Why not the second before the game opening jump ball with Lehigh???

Why not week 18? You know the last one before the tournament starts? Why the random 17? Arbitrary week 17 coming from the arbitrary 9ppg poster(now 8ppg). Typical and expected. Feb 27 is in February, March 5 is entering March, March Madness is in March, tournament seeding was done on March 11. Why choose a random week that is 2 weeks seperated from tournament projections? Super weird.

dook @ #3 per the last Coaches Poll entering March of last season (dated Feb. 27)...

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings/_/year/2012/week/17/seasontype/2i.e., dookie expectations were running pretty high.

Apology accepted for false information. In other news did you know that UNC only has 4 players averaging over 9ppg including rounding? Duke still has 5 players in double digits(a normal figure to referrence).

  • kato_karma.v4 Jan 8, 2013
    Sports Legend

    LOL.

At minimum (polls or not), one can feel confident that expectations were for dook to avoid another Sour 16 or earlier flameout.

#3? Oh you mean the polls before the regular season was over? The same poll that was Duke's peak last year after only 2 losses in the ACC? Why would you choose this arbitrary date/poll week? Oh wait, hey Kato! Back on the random date/stat kick?

Duke was ranked #6 on March 5th and lost to FSU 5 days later. Poor research on your part.

You had one thing right in this post and please allow me to confirm that there were no expectations for Duke to win it all last year, you must be thinking of UNC with the NBA 1st rounders returning to win it all.

dook currently ranked at #1 in week 7 of this season.
