Isn't that what dookies were telling us last season when McDonald then Strickland then Henson then Marshall went down for Flagship U.?

Not what I remember. I recall a bunch of UNC fans with their head in the sand up until an hour before the game thinking Marshall was going to do a Willis Reed and beat Kansas with one hand.

Still obsessed with the nations #1 team I see. Oh, and that personal attack on R.Kelly didn't go unnoticed. This makes two already. Soon it'll be open season on DES and you'll be the first one screaming "foul."

Injuries are part of the game and nobody ever remembers who was hurt when you lose so they don't matter in the end. I bet Dean can't remember when any of his teams were injured or who was on the team for that matter. See how the saying mean things works both ways

Losing one player is nothing unless it is the PG position. Having four injured is something.

Not the end of the world. Many people wanted to see more of Jefferson/Murphy since the beginning of the season. This is a 2-4 week injury, so it may be a blessing in disguise. Murphy and Jefferson could use the added experience for March, and Kelly hopefully won't be gone for the season. Like I said yesterday, circle the game vs UNC on Feb 13th-- There's no way he misses his senior home game vs UNC. Coach K wants to shut him down for a couple reasons, 1) get Jefferson/Murphy more experience, and 2) get Kelly fully healthy for March.

Duke is still very capable of beating NC State and anyone else without Kelly, but it will be difficult. Murphy and Jefferson are no slouches, though.

Don't forget about Josh Hairston, who is one of Duke's best defenders, and Marshall Plumlee (if he can continue to develop). Coach K wanted a 7-man rotation, but this may force him to consider other options. Hairston, Jefferson, Murphy, and MP3 will all have to step up-- something I think they're very capable of.
