Yours was OK, but Lux hit it out of the park! It must have hurt your feelings. San Francisco called, they want their pansy back.

When Kelly gets healthy, Duke will be ready. Plus with him being out, other guys get experience.

Oh I know the Heels have their issues, I just wanted a link to show that I'm "worried" about them.

I tend not to worry about that which I have no control over.

Fortunately we have a Hall of Fame coach that carries that paricular burden for us.

    WOOOOT!!! #HEEELSLBOOD!!

He was able to cover Boozer's injury in late Feb 2001 with Casey Sanders. Covering for Ryan Kelly in early Jan is not as big of a problem.

And he will. It isn't a problem for K. This is what he is noted for, making adjustments during halftimes and with his teams, as well as blending players. Nice of you point this out. He isn't considered the BEST for nothing.

The (subtle) different is that one is controllable, and provides insight to the person, and the other one is an unavoidable illness, and provides insight to the person making the comment.

I know it's wrong to mention someone having dementia but it's also wrong to discuss someone using hair dye, having buck teeth or whatever. But if you engage in that immature junk yourself, why do you have such a thin skin about it?

And no, I'm not comparing the severity of dementia to one having to cover up their hair color, but I am saying neither of them really belongs on a forum that is supposed to be about sports.

The above was posted about 5 hours ago by hiney-hurt lil' dookie named "TheBUTLER". But of course, you "didn't see it". "Distant past" LOLOl...You only see that which you wish to see. It's "The dook Way."

Since the Dookies claim to have the greatest coach to ever live, this should not be a problem at all! He should be able to make adjustments to cover for Kelly.

DES had an entire team injured?? Wow, I dont remember that one.

And it has been a very very long time since I have seen DES's health mentioned on this forum.

So, just seems to be you bringing up things from the distant past to compensate for being a tool on here right now.

No of course you don't, because when hiney-hurt lil' dookies make comments like "I bet Dean can't remember when any of his teams were injured or who was on the team for that matter", you laugh and agree with it.

    Par for the course.

I don't see anyone making fun of Dean's dementia on here. I do see you making fun of Ryan Kelly's teeth though, which is very mature of you. Your mother must be proud, an anonymous internet troll that mocks 20-year olds appearances.

Weren't you the same guy that made fun of Dawkins redshirting to deal with the continued struggle of losing his sister in a motor vehicle accident?

How do you sleep at night, dude? Does anonymously making fun of Duke on internet message boards make you feel better about yourself? What kind of sicko gets satisfaction out of making fun of teenagers that have never done anything to you?

Hiney-hurt lil' dookies (like Paula) have been making fun of Dean's dementia ever since I joined this forum, so that's neither going to surprise or upset me in the least. It's just "how you roll".

Pretty telling however that you'd equate a terminal illness like dementia/Alzheimers with gigantic, gnarly buck teeth that only make you LOOK like a goon, but have no health impact whatsoever. (Unless of couse he chews thru some pine timber and gets a splinter stuck in his gums or something LOL)

    Always classy = dook ABCers.

Also, I would hate to be Mark Gottfried right now. There is absolutely no telling how Coach K will use his lineups. They could go small with Murphy at the 4, or go defensive with Hairston there. Even thought of the possibility of going 4 guards with Thornton, Cook, Curry and Sulaimon + Plumlee. Pretty much no game film you can use right now to gameplan.

  • BlueDevils00 Jan 10, 2013
    Sports Legend

Not the end of the world. Many people wanted to see more of Jefferson/Murphy since the beginning of the season. This is a 2-4 week injury, so it may be a blessing in disguise. Murphy and Jefferson could use the added experience for March, and Kelly hopefully won't be gone for the season. Like I said yesterday, circle the game vs UNC on Feb 13th-- There's no way he misses his senior home game vs UNC. Coach K wants to shut him down for a couple reasons, 1) get Jefferson/Murphy more experience, and 2) get Kelly fully healthy for March.

Duke is still very capable of beating NC State and anyone else without Kelly, but it will be difficult. Murphy and Jefferson are no slouches, though.

Don't forget about Josh Hairston, who is one of Duke's best defenders, and Marshall Plumlee (if he can continue to develop). Coach K wanted a 7-man rotation, but this may force him to consider other options. Hairston, Jefferson, Murphy, and MP3 will all have to step up-- something I think they're very capable of.

Injuries are part of the game and nobody ever remembers who was hurt when you lose so they don't matter in the end. I bet Dean can't remember when any of his teams were injured or who was on the team for that matter. See how the saying mean things works both ways
