Feb. 7th - rematch

Feb. 7th - rematch

Duke over State...calling it now.

RE: Feb. 7th - rematch

That's just anger and frustration coming out.

Might be better to wait and see if "Bucky" Kelly and "5-Step" Curry will be playing before getting all puffy.

Congrats on improving to 1 - 2 in ACC play. You must be proud!

Even if Kelly and Curry are still injured, Coach K will have had almost 4 weeks to get the rest of the team comfortable in their new roles. And the other factor will be the State rotation. If they are still using 6 men over 4-5 weeks of conference play, they will be starting to or will have hit the wall by Feb 7th.

Depth will be a problem for the 'Pack, whether it's fatigue or foul trouble down the road. IMO

foul trouble

Especially at Cameron where apparently Coach K "gets all the calls". Or is it that he gets the calls on home, neutral and away floors?

Just an observation but great programs, whether Duke or The Lighter Shade, generally get the calls at home. I looked up certain teams a few years back & the pattern was the same. However, great programs are great for a reason. They know how to make their own luck when it comes down to it.

Some coaches teach their players skills like how to draw a foul, how to play with foul trouble and other things that fall into the category of basketball IQ. That's why Coach K lets his upperclassmen play with 3 fouls and 20 minutes to go. Because he is willing to take his chances since he knows the players know how to play in those situations.

Also, the calls tend to favor the more agressive team. That's why UNC and Duke always go to the line more than their opponent in normal years. But UNC this year, doesn't have as many agressive players as they normally do and their inability to get to the foul line is showing.

Agreed...that's what I meant about creating their own luck. Good point regarding hoops IQ. Some have it & some don't. Great coaches get the max. effort from their players & K is one of the all-time greats at that.

Well, you DO have a 50-50 chance of being right. Not like you're going out on a limb here. :)
