How many Duke Kelly score in those games genius? Are any of these guys putting up 21 a game in there conference? Or 17 and bounds a game? Willie Stein? Wow a freshman going aganist a senior! Wow again! The point Im trying to make geniius is, Duke is using the Kelly excuse. Why cant I use the Dieng excuse?

Now you're saying every senior should dominate every freshman? Thats horrible logic. Willie Cauley-Stein will be a lottery pick in the NBA draft this year.
Even if you forget Louisville and Dieng, what's your excuse for Duke beating Kentucky, Ohio St, Minnesota (now ranked top-10), VCU (now ranked top-25), Temple, etc? Kelly didn't matter in those games?
Kelly had 10pts, 3rbs, 3blks, 3stls vs Kentucky.
- 11pts, 4rbs, 5blks vs VCU.
- 14pts, 6rbs, 3blks vs Minnesota,
- 14pts, 6rbs, 4assts vs Louisville,
- 15pts, 3rbs, 3blks vs Ohio St.,
- 14pts, 10rbs vs Temple.
So yeah, he scored and defended well against those guys.

Dont get me wrong Duke has played the toughest schedule in the country. But to say Duke would have beaten State if Kelly were in the lineup I just dont believe that. Also there are freshman, and there are freshman. ( Davis, Anthony, etc.) Cauley-Stein isnt in that class. Would Duke have beat Ville with Dieng in the lineup? None of these guys numbers are close to CJL. If Tyler Thornton were to be out oh boy Duke will never win another game! Oh yeah give your bench come credit, Jefferson, and Hairston 18 pts, 9 boards.

Players like CJ are nice but they're a dime a dozen. Duke will blow out this Pack team the next two times they play and probably because of Ryan Kelly. The Maryland game showed everyone what the Pack does under pressure.

You keep saying Duke can't beat State because State has CJ. Well if that's true, how'd Maryland do it?
Is Maryland better than State at every position on the floor at all times?

And yes, Hairston and Jefferson played well offensively, but were extremely limited defensively. Kelly is 6'11" and experienced, Jefferson and Hairston are 6'8" and 6'7" and not nearly the defender that Kelly is.
Again, State deserved to win that game, and there's no telling what would've happened with Kelly in the lineup. But I know it would have been a different game. No guarantee of a win, but definitely a different game.

Jefferson commited 5 fouls in 12 minutes. I am pretty certain Ryan Kelly has never commited 5 fouls in 12 minutes, let alone fouling out of a game where he played his average 28 minutes. Of the 5 fouls by Jefferson, 3 were shooting fouls which gave State 5 points. The other two fouls gave them possessions and the time he spent on the floor in foul trouble gave State an even more favorable matchup for those possessions.

Still trying to figure out when did Kelly become such a great defender? Also K stated that Hairston, and Jefferson didnt know the defensive, and offensive executions. What does that mean they dont know there plays? What do they do in practice everyday sit down and watch Kelly the great shoot wide open three's, and flop during two hours of practice? A diffrent game if Kelly were playing? What? To me thats just saying Duke would have won with Kelly in the line up.
