Don't Call it an Excuse

Don't Call it an Excuse

There are no excuses for injuries, ask UNC. But here's one experts opinion on the Duke/State game.

RE: Don't Call it an Excuse

Myron Medcalf (2:25 PM)

You want opinion or fact? Fact: Kelly had the ACC's top plus-minus ratio (plus-190). Fact: Kelly is a 6-11 stretch-4 who's shot 52.1 percent from the 3-point line. Fact: His defense has improved from last season. ... Yes, that's a different game with him in there.

Some of these same writers said that, UNC had enough talent to win last year after KM got hurt. One guy can be the difference between winning it all or coming up short. Injuries play a HUGE part in a teams success. I do not look at Kelly being out as an excuse, however, it does make Duke look a bit less Final Four capable.

When you're Duke and UNC, you are two of only a handful of programs that won't ever be able to use the loss of a player as an excuse. Because people say your McD's AAs coming off the bench that would start anywhere else should be able to come right in and make up for the loss. Even if they only average 8 minutes per game and are freshmen instead of seniors.

Yeah........cuz everybody knows Joel James is EXACTLY THE SAME as Tyler Zeller.

DERP-EE-DERP!!!

Speaking of excuses, what about a coward that starts a thread about Carolina getting beat by FSU last weekend and, well, has nothing to say when that azzs gets lernt? What is the excuse for that coward?

903 is crying about his MCD boys are freshman....duhhh, Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! What a baby. He still has not publicly said which is is team yet. He blows like the wind!

RE: Don't Call it an Excuse

Let the whining continue for the Dookies.

They are all hypocrites.

RE: Don't Call it an Excuse

So I guess CJL will have let Kelly stand alone all day and shoot jumpers. Defense has improved, How many has he guarded as Athletic as CJL? All he can do is Flop. Winning percentage with him in the line up, when you beat Louisville was Deng in the lineup?

1st) its Dieng, not Deng. Luol Deng played for Duke genius.

2nd) He guarded Chane Behanan from Louisville (7pts, 2/11 FG), Willie Cauley-Stein for Kentucky (4pts), Trevor Mbakwe for Minnesota (11pts), Deshaun Thomas from Ohio St (16pts, 6/14 FG).

Do I need to mention any other future NBA players that he defended?
