Because there's no one I'd rather beat than the Yankees because (even though I hate them) the Yankees are the greatest franchise in history.- Posted by 903 Rock Chalk Wiggins Hawk
Remember the last time Duke had as many National Championships as UNC?!? Oh, and don't forget the head to head all-time series!! Guess Carolina has been lucky a lot! Yep its great to be the best!
Do I know our fan base or what?

Not the case at all.....you are just like the typical Duke fanbase.......you didn't start pulling for them until they started winning which really hasn't been that long!
By the way........didn't Duke play on those same "peach baskets"? Keep the excuses coming! Insecurity is so unattractive!
Honestly, it's because of the combination of the fact that they are really good and the arrogant image they have built up over the years through factors such as floor slapping, K's surly appearance during games (even if it is largely intensity, not surliness), K's constant talk about "leadership," the flopping, the Laettner "stomp," the Chronicle incident, etc.- Posted by zanerx
An anecdote - I attended the Duke-Carolina football game this year. On the way back to my car, I and a lot of UNC fans were caught up in a bottleneck inside that small quad of dorms near the stadium. While waiting about 15 minutes for it to clear, we were repeatedly regaled by Duke students yelling, "Go to hell Carolina, go to hell! Eat s---!" Of course, we were trapped and couldn't just walk away; if someone had reacted to it, there could have been a riot. I've been going to college games a long time, and I've never experienced anything like that.
After that, who wouldn't rejoice in beating 'em?

They really aren't that good though! 29 years with a coach who has many advantages over every other coach......american express gave him exposure, USA coach gives him recruiting advantages and a private institution that makes their own rules. Plus he coaches at a university that could care less about the other big revenue sport (football) therefore all the resources go to the basketball program! Any college could excel at one sport if they only focused on it!
With all those advantages ONLY 2 national championships in the last 21 years and one was a "paper championship"! Let the young ones continue to celebrate their savior under false pretenses. Congrats!

You seem to have all the UNCheat talking points and excuses down. Good job.
Why did you not include his other NC's and that they were back to back.
Why use a 21 year time period? Seems odd.

Of course K has 4 National Championships! The youthfullness of the Duke fanbase makes K out to be some kind of God! Just seems like a low ammount of success over 21 years considering........Back to back doesn't impress me at all. Thats the luck of having players actually come back after winning one. That really never happens especially with todays players.
