I don't think that any true UNC fans ignore it. Heck, the UNC boards light up like a Christmas tree when something happens there.

So where's the outcry on these boards over the UNC Students / Facilities / Police Department's racism?

My point, exactly. If someone claims to be so appalled by racism, why only point it out when it fits their objective to try and demean a specific group of people (Duke fans / students in this case)? Isn't that what you'd call discrimination, or perhaps bigotry?

Or would it just be hypocritical?

Come on Tizu, have you forgotten that this is a smack talk forum? Yes, UNC fans do not point out wrongs at UNC but then again neither do Duke fans or State fans. Please don't try to make it sound like only UNC fans do it.

You're right, but to elude to the fact that this only happens at Duke and not UNC is ludicrous. I was simply pointing out the hypocrisy. I'm just saying, if you're going to point it out in one instance, you need to point them all out or don't point them out at all...the latter would be the wisest choice.

While I agree the Asian party was in poor taste, the team dressing as the Little Rascals and the girl as Buckwheat was not in any way racist.

Maybe you should learn the difference between black face and someone portraying a TV character. Black face stereotyped, mocked and made fun of an entire race. That girl did it to dress up as Buckwheat.

I know the differences very well, it is never appropriate to do so. If it were, the photo would not have been pulled and apology issued.
Thank goodness some in Dook's administration have some sense.
