No where in my post did I mention the CC's. It was a couple of knuckleheads that tried to start the chant. It was NOT the entire student section!

Common sense, my friend! No matter what the score, if you have a big enough lead, you do not want to show poor sportsmanship by adding an unnecessary score!

Who is in denial and were you there?

I have heard and read enough that if it did occur, it was a small group of people, not the crazies.

Had they had 48 points, he would have told them not to score! It had nothing to do with them getting to 100!

He doesn't curse like he did several years ago. Or, at least they don't show it like they did on TV like in previous years. Most all coaches do this. What I appreciate is that when his team gets beaten, he is always professional. He gives credit to the other team and coach. Not many can do this. The Team USA loves Coach K, and they want him back. Did anyone listen to Bill Self and what he stated about his team on ESPN when they got beat this week? Real class.

In consideration that some UNC fans believe if he responds to someone asking him about the remarks, it would be considered a "statement," then yes, there is potential for that. If you are asking if he will hold a press conference over unconfirmed heckling, I doubt that seriously.

If someone did say that, that person really needs to reflect on life. Those comments are not supported by the Duke faithful.

Ah, this thread reminds me of why I despise Duke so much. Is there any other school in the nation whose fan behavior is so bad that they have a special name (Cameron Crazies)? Isn't that the same crowd that threw panties on the floor in honor of the Maryland player a few years back?

A few Duke students showed no class in the chant. None. I would bet that most Duke students didn't approve of this either. Coach K certainly wouldn't. He has called students to the fore for stuff like this in his tenure at Duke.

DOnt worry about these clowns Tizu, I was there and I know it was not chanted. DSV and the like believe everything they read on the internet, especially if it even hints at something bad for Duke. Alas, as I stated, I was there, and no amount of arguing will change what I KNOW I heartd, which was "past your bedtime"

Duke undergraduate students will continue embarassing themselves until the end of undercollegiate studies.

As long as it's not coming from the Duke athletic department, it will never approach the embarassment and shame UNC fans have to live with.

Yes Coach K showed class, unlike UNC who is known for throwing down that last emphatic dunk, Curry dribbled the ball out, despite having no NC State player on that side of the court with him. He could have padded his stats, got Duke to 100pts, or just shown up the players, but he didn't.

    CLASSUNC, try to have some.

Coach K ordered the players not to score on the last play even when they had an open layup which would have made 100, unlike someone who's player dunked on UVa. as time expired running up the score last year.
