Trey Lyles picks final 6

ESPN 60 power forward Trey Lyles (Indianapolis/Arsenal Tech) has narrowed his college choices to six, according to a report in The Indianapolis Star.

Lyles, ranked no. 5 in the junior class, will choose between Florida, Butler, Kentucky, UCLA, Louisville and Duke.

"I'm just focused on those schools," Lyles told the paper. "I like the style they play, they have rich legacies, have good coaches and I feel like I could be comfortable at any of them."

Lyle has already visited Butler, Kentucky and Louisville and said he plans to officially visit Florida, UCLA and Duke. He also told the paper he will not announce his decision until after his senior season.

Yes, he elimated UNC (just another highly touted recruit that eliminates UNC before final cuts). Roy is losing his edge in recruiting. 3 more mediocre players coming in next year.

UNC was not recruiting Lyles. It's for no other reason than having their sights set elsewhere. You can't recruit everybody. Even after his dad publicly stated that UNC has always been his son's dream school. Roy and K don't give offers to everybody just because they are highly ranked.

This is UNC's confirmed recruiting target list. With confirmation of UNC's recruiting status of Lyles, the moderators who are in charge of following and reporting UNC recruiting said Lyles was not recruited, much to the dismay and fury of UNC fans on the board. Rivals is well known for being inaccurate of offer lists for basketball and football. Believe what you want. But this is just the way it is. Trust me, I wanted this guy badly. I'm pizzed that Roy didn't. Frankly, Roy's recruiting since Barnes has me wondering if he still has it.
