Dook exposed for the weak team they are

RE: Dook exposed for the weak team they are

He might be referring to McAdoo flailing around on the floor. Could have been any of the dozens of times he flopped last night. Once i could have sworn the guy did the backstroke all the way down the pool .......er I mean court. :)

RE: Dook exposed for the weak team they are

Duke at #2 in the Country showed great energy after the first half. Shooting 85% FT's helped them. Great teams do this.

RE: Dook exposed for the weak team they are

UNC played their best half of the season in the first half, but when Duke clamped down in the second the quick ugly shots returned for unc. 1-7 from 3 for Hairston didnt help a ton either. I know people want to solely blame the free throws, but unc has been last in that regard in the acc all season. Did anyone really expect them to hit a high percentage?? What hurt them the most was the long stretch of quick ugly shots on offense that led to quick points for Duke on the other end. The free throws were a factor of course, but that is something that has plagued this squad all season, NOT just last night.

RE: Dook exposed for the weak team they are

^^^ Accurate assessment. The thing that impressed me was when Curry hit tht huge 3 to give Duke a first time advantage. The Duke players were fired up. That turned it for Duke IMO. Coach K had this team ready after the half. Still. UNC didn't quit in this one either. Had they played all season with this desire it would be different for UNC in some losses.

RE: Dook exposed for the weak team they are

Anyone talking about Suliamon beaning a UNC player with the ball? I thought he should have earned a technical or better yet been ejected. Totally unsportsmanlike with ill intentions. It happened in the first half just before a commercial break, you had to be paying attention to catch it. At least one ref was right there and did nothing, that I am aware of, about it. Maybe he got a talking to during the break and we missed it. I saw it on local TV, not sure if ESPN cameras caught it or not.

Could any player, anywhere get away with this besides Duke at home? I understand letting them play physical; but blatant inter-team aggression during a play stoppage, seems grounds for a one way trip to the lockeroom.

Further, did you see McaFlop and Hairston taunting the Duke bench with no Technical called? Totally unsportsmanlike with ill intentions.

That goes both ways. The refs in no way affected the outcome of this game. Duke was in the Bonus less than 10 minutes into the second half. UNC couldn't hit their free throws down the stretch, Duke was playing much more aggressive defense and forcing turnovers and missed shots. Much like UNC did in the first half.

The game is 40 minutes, not 30. Gotta play all of them. I do credit Roy for staying on the floor for the entire game, though. +1 for him.

Can't find video, I looked. Guess it's no big deal...just like picking on a kid cause his grandma died.

Taunting the bench vs. throwing a ball at someone is apples and oranges. I'm not saying it had an adverse effect on the game. And don't really concern myself with which blue team beat the other. I was pulling for the heels this time around, but the best team won. My point was why wasn't this some sort of foul etc... I just don't see why he was allowed to go Dodgeball on somebody. Take the fact that the blue boys were playing this game. If it was App State vs ECU...should a player get away with that?

Duke complaining about someone flopping? Laughable. Honestly both sides were trying to create fouls. That's part of the game, junk talk is part of the game; beaning another player with the ball, on the other hand, is not.

Of course not.

And of course...not a single dookie here "witnessed" it. THey're all too busy polishing their halos.

Oh well.

You have to be the guy that called into The Drive (620 AM) yesterday crying about this. You sounded pathetic when you said it here...and really pathetic on the phone. I thought Taylor was going to ask you for a tissue.

Do you have the game on DVR? Then you can provide the video, Google it if you don't know how.
