Apparently the tarheel fanbase is now into moral victories, claiming one after suffering a 5pt loss at Duke. Duke played horrible, shot worse, and still won. That is why Duke is a #1 seed and UNC is squarely on the bubble.

Cant wait for the rematch in Chapel Hill w/ a healthy Ryan Kelly.

In other news, ROY FINALLY STARTED PJ HAIRSTON!!!!! After weeks (months?) of fans, analysts and commentators alike asking why PJ Hairston doesn't start, Roy finally came around. He actually said he "considered the move weeks ago." Well, I guess he finally had the stones to make the move and bench no-shot Dex.

Good game, good rivalry, just another Duke win.

Duke 6-2 against UNC since 2010. Love it.

There was no moral victory for the heels last night. You were suppose to win by 32 like 2010.....it didn't happen.It showed that we can and will beat you in Chapel Hill on the 9th of March. This reminds me of the 2011 season where we lost in Cameron by 8 and smoked the Devils in the dome by 14. Congrats on the win but you're not the second best team in the country. Nice barn fire though!

I think the starting lineup the reset of the season will depend on the the opposition matchups. The lineup last night would not work against Miami and probably not against NC state, teams that have more that one offensive minded big man.

Spot on. That lineup was perfect for a Kelly-less Duke team. In fact, I thought Roy's game plan was awesome yesterday. They had Duke out of sync for a big chunk of that game. They just couldn't help themselves out and build a decent lead when they had Duke on the ropes. The execution was off, but the game plan was great.
Roy might not know exactly what starting lineup will be game to game, but I think it it safe to say that it will include PJ.

Being a UNC fan I have been questioning the sanity of not starting Hariston for months now. He is the best all around player on the team, and personally I believe has the most love for the game. If Roy had started PJ from the start of the season I believe this year would of been different. Roy has shown 3 major problems this year. He started Strick instead of PJ, never uses time outs wisely like when they are down 15 or so points, and constantly rotates players which doesn't give the guys enough time to get into sink together. If Roy doesn't start PJ for now on I will seriously begin to question the mans sanity.

Roy has too much loyalty to his upperclassmen and it has been an issue with him for years. Plus, he hates to be told what to do by some dadbern fan who doesn't know what the dickens he is talking about.

PJ is the best player on the team.

Lost in all of this is the fact that much maligned Dexter Strickand was 5-8 shooting, 4-4 FT's with 14 points.

I didn't lose that fact. It's another example of how dumb UNC fans that were calling for Strickland to be benched can be.

Agreed.

Roy stuck with LDII waaaaay to long. Teammates were raving on Marshall's floor game back in summer league.

Hard-headedness (Roy's) has limited PJ's opportunities/minutes this season...and it shouldn't have taken this long into the season to rectify that.

PJ is only UNC's best all around player IMHO. Not only is he pretty good on offense(all around FG%, FT%, 3pt%) but he is an outstanding defender willing to give up his body to make a play. Couple that with the ability to rebound well and his great size for his position, he helps UNC in almost every area of the game.
