I was talking about Vernon's NFL stock with some people earlier this year. See him as a possible Brandon Stokley.

Yeah 4.24 is insane fast, but then again, just look at the guy when he gets into space in the NFL. Its crazy to think how much of a difference 4.3 and 4.5 forty times make at the next level.

The official clock time was 4.68. But there's some doubt according to this article.

Still, apparently he shined in the receiver drills, vertical jump, and interviews.

During his two attempts at the 40-yard dash, Vernon was clocked unofficially at 4.59 and 4.47 seconds, respectively.

"That was something that I definitely questioned, because I didn't understand how I could come in so much lower unofficially and end up with an official time of 4.68 seconds," Vernon said. "Even some of the scouts I had talked to said they had me at a much lower time, so I don't know if there was human error or maybe I actually ran that time. I don't know-but the numbers didn't really add up."

Conner will fit in as a Wes Welker type slot receiver. I think he'll make a nice career for himself in the NFL.

4.24 is insane! I remember Johnson wanting to challenge Usain Bolt in a race. Dont think he would want to do that!! Like to have Vernon in Pittsburgh!
