Not sure any ACC team has the horses to make it that far. Duke (with a healthy Kelly) and Miami are the best bets. State is too inconsistent to advance in a single-elimination tourney. unc? Weakness at the point guard position. Virginia? Early foul trouble on any starter would doom them.
I see the Big Ten advancing. Louisville, Florida as well. There will always be a surprise team in the FF but I just don't see it being Gonzaga. Could be Butler. They beat Indiana and Gonzaga!

Anything less than a national championship would be a major choke. dook was undefeated with kelly and would still be undefeated if he had not been injured. Everyone knows that dook would have won the title last year if kelly had not been injured.

the week in and week out over-ratedness is eerily similar to the prior dookie season.

It's possible, but remember, NC State was the preseason ACC favorite and ranked #6 nationally. Duke started at #8 i believe? maybe even lower. So in short, no, Duke was not expected to win the national title this season. Coach K has done a great job and the team is performing very well. This year's tourney is up the air, about 15 teams could win it, Duke being one of them.

Actually...the later/longer dook remains (over)ranked, the higher the expectations.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves -- them getting past a couple of NCAAT rounds will be a bonus (given their flameout track record).
