    so did Nick Arison...

    http://www.nba.com/heat/contact/directory_narison.html

Nick Arison, who has been associated with successful teams on every level of basketball and has been a part of championships with the Miami HEAT, Duke University and USA Basketball, enters his 11th year as a full-time member of the HEAT organization and his third as Chief Executive Officer.

Arison began his basketball administrative career while attending Duke University. He spent four seasons as team manager of the Blue Devils men’s basketball team and was named the head team manager during his senior year. Over that four-year span, Arison became the only team manager in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) history to be a part of four straight ACC Championships and was a manager for Duke’s 2001 NCAA National Championship team.

Earlier you said "in the NBA, relevancy equates to playoffs.."...

Battier won his 2nd ring in 2 years last year. Nothing more relevant than winning rings...

    yawn...

kato accounted for wrinkle-head flopper (dookie homerism tends to blind)...Green's overall playoff achievement last season > wrinkle-head flopper.

Barnes and booze's playoff contributions last season pretty much balance out.

that leaves Lawson + Felton, which are > than dung's playoff contributions last season.

in the NBA, relevancy equates to playoffs..

which dookies made any noise in last year's playoff???

are you joking or just not bright? Without Battier, the Heat probably don't win the finals last year...

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/21/shane-battier-miami-heat-game-7-three_n_3476431.html

Battier made a postseason, career-high six three-point field goals as he scored 18.

"The guy has won at every single level - high school, college, pro and that's not a coincidence. He has something running through those veins that separates him, makes him a little bit different as a champion."

It was a Battier three, early in the third quarter that gave Miami a four-point cushion, setting the tone for the second half and igniting the crowd and another of his trademark long-range baskets that made it 88-82.

Dwyane Wade, who claimed his third NBA championship with Miami, having been part of the 2006 title-winning team, said Battier's display epitomised the way in which the Heat's supporting cast had made a key contribution.

"In Game Six it was Ray Allen with the big shot and obviously last year Mike Miller had an unbelievable performance," he said.

"Shane was unconscious. He's just a big-time player. You want that for Shane so bad.

"He is going to go down as one of my favourite team-mates of all time just by being the guy that he is.

"And we needed it. We needed every inch of what everybody gave".

You may wish to believe it's all about Kyrie Irving and he's certainly the best player in the league out of either school. But it's deeper than that. After Lawson you don't have another player averaging over 12.7 ppg in the league this year. Meanwhile Duke has Redick, Henderson, Deng, and Boozer. So out of the alumni both schools have put in the league 5 of the top 6 scorers are Dukies.

When it comes to rebounding Plumlee1 and Boozer are both ahead of Henson followed by Deng and McRoberts. So out of the alumni both schools have put in the league 4 out of the top 5 are Dukies.

In assists it's Lawson, Irving, Felton, McRoberts, and Deng so Duke has 3 out of the top 5.

Stick with the name calling... anything beyond that and you're just embarrassing yourself.
